Next up on the Four Four Local Selection, we welcome the immensely talented Surka. Having burst onto the Irish dance scene over the last few months performing a slew of festivals and club shows across the country the Tipperary-born DJ has provided us with a jam-packed house trip for the next hour! Surka comes in as the 219th edition of the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series as she showcases her impeccable selection of progressive and old-school house cuts. Tying this in with her sleek mixing technique, it makes for a feel-good, sensual listening experience. Heaps of top-tier tunes can be heard over the course of the recording with no compromise in energy whatsoever making for a perfect midweek pick-me-up. Bursting onto the club and festival circuit over these last few months, Surka has showcased her keen admiration for quality dance music at Otherside Festival, Indiependence and Electric Picnic alongside Boots & Kats and George Feely. These trailblazing sets lead Surka to pick up a series of lucrative club shows in the capital for esteemed parties Slither (which took place in Index’s new pristine location) and Reclaim The Mainframe with appearances to Izakaya’s funk bunker where she has carried out 2 all night long sets over the last few months. Showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, it’ll be very interesting to see what Surka gets up to next!
