Our 225th Local Selection Mix comes from Berlin-based Amaylia. The rising DJ supplies a full-throttle industrial-tinged techno mix, as she intertwines shades of acid and trance into a punishing podcast. Introducing Amaylia, a young & exciting techno prospect that has been turning heads across Dublin & Berlin. Although Amaylia may be a new name to many, she has been perfecting the craft of mixing records for over 5 years. Studying under some of the most respected artists at BIFE, the young DJ harnessed the tools to learn the craft of moving dance floors. Now situated in Berlin, Amaylia has begun to morph her sound into a kaleidoscopic frenzy of piercing synth lines and pulsating drum grooves, perfectly carved out to keep hips shaking. With a strong CV of previous gigs in venues such as Wigwam, The Sound House, Suicide Club, AVA Club & Void in Berlin Altenberg in Prague & Publika in Slovenia. Amaylia laces together a number of her influences as part of her Local Selection, joining menacing hypnotic rhythms with earth-shattering industrial cuts. The young DJ pushes the tempo on this one while holding a solid groove & breakneck power with both hands. Trance and psy nuances peak through the mix, making it a cocktail of dancefloor-focused power. This is eclectic and controlled techno madness.
