Dublin-based techno selector JenTen takes on the 239th Local Selection Mix. The emerging DJ takes us on a journey through tribal and elastic rhythms, weaving in and out of polished 90s-leaning cuts and expertly propelling the momentum forward with each mix. JenTen has been steadily rising within the Irish techno scene as of late. Establishing herself playing across Dublin at various parties from The Midnight Disco, Puzzy Wranglers, The Lounge and more alongside making her festival debut at Otherside. Now dividing her time between Berlin and Dublin, the hypnotically focused DJ has been refining her sound, which is rooted in a more minimal approach to techno. JenTen’s sound is embedded in the traditionalist style of techno while also staying forward-facing. Her careful selection of tracks and long blends perfectly match this minimalistic aesthetic. JenTen’s entry for the Local Selection Mix Series sees her delve down a deep and hypnotic tunnel. She skillfully uses vast soundscapes and pulsating basslines to create a somewhat disorientated journey through monochromatic sounds. With a constant desire for movement, she skillfully blends atmospheric and introspective sections with churning minimal cuts. This is dedicated to the smokier corners of the dancefloor.
