Local Selection 246: DJ Half Step

This week we welcome Dublin-based DJ and promoter Jamie Langan aka DJ Half Step to the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series. The Gluais head honcho has submitted a stunningly idiosyncratic recording which features as the 246th edition of the series. Expect meddling basslines and murky undertones throughout. Our latest edition of the Four Four Local Selection has just dropped and we are excited to showcase this compelling mix recorded by DJ Half Step. The recording delves deep into bass-driven territory, visiting uncommon corners of the frequency range that encapsulate the listener in lush and introspective grooves. The mix acts as an energetic rollercoaster which sifts between varying tempo ranges, capturing the listener's attention and placing them within a range of dubby atmospheres which makes for ideal listening. DJ Half Step is also known for running shows under the 'Gluais' club night. The party has been well received since its inception where they have welcomed the likes of Dylan Fogarty, Iva Mechkarova and Cian Sullivan as well as recently hosting Main Phase in The Racket Space where DJ Half Step and Jezebel handled support duties for the esteemed DJ, producer and 'All The Wicked' label head. The Dublin-based party undoubtedly has more tricks up their sleeves and is one to keep an eye on in future.
