LOCAL: Youth travel to see the Minnesota Twins

The Pipestone Parks and Recreation Department conducted its annual trip to see the Minnesota Twins play on Thursday, July 9 versus American League Central Division foe, the Cleveland Guardians, at Target Field in Minneapolis. Forty-seven children signed up along with seven chaperones boarded a motorcoach for the game at about 6:30 a.m., returning that evening. The Twins scored single runs in both the fifth and seventh innings; however, it wasn’t enough as the Guardians prevailed 5-2.
