Locked In The Closet - Ep 19 with Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol

from ATX Metal Podcast · host Atxmetalpodcast

The Burger Patrol is a hard rock, groove driven trio that brings you, as they say, “fuzzed out tones” on their 8 string guitars that is largely untapped in their landscape of music.  You can definitely hear what they are talking about when you browse their discography. The guys were supposed to be heading to the west coast for the first time but that got shut down quick as the dates were scheduled for April.  Then their dates for the east coast were halted along with the third tour, also west coast, that was planned.   Since they couldn’t go out on the road, they have decided to track and release an 8-song album with some new stuff that no one has heard before or seen live.   They have some outside shows lined up for July and August and are ready to get back on stage. Today's featured track is the bands newest single “Burger Babes from Outer Space”

In today's episode (recorded on June 20th, 2020), Ryan has a chat with the guys in Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol. The Burger Patrol have been killing it here in Austin for years. They were named as one of Austins top metal bands in 2018 and 2019. Like everyone in the music scene, they were directly affected by COVID-19 in which they had to cancel 3 tours. Yes, 3 tours.
