Williamson is from Bryant's hometown of Philadelphia, and even attended the same high school -- Lower Merion High School -- albeit a decade later. He recalls the first time he met Bryant in person. The former Laker was in town before a game against the 76ers and made an unannounced stop at the school. "The way he spoke to us wasn't like, you know, we're kids and we're not allowed to curse. He laid in on it. There's no mercy, ripping people's hearts out. Kinda was like 'woah, this guy's no joke.'"
