Lonely, but Not Alone
from The Sam-Eye-Is Show Hosted by Samein Priester
Can I admit I’m lonely without questioning my masculinity? A month into living in Ohio, I’m missing home—the chair, the paintings, the familiar sounds, and the friends I could call for tea. With my daughter in Spain, I’m discovering how being connected to people can coexist with feeling lonely. In this episode I talk about homesickness, belonging, and realizing I’ve put my own life on hold while waiting to be called into someone else’s. There’s humor, sadness, and room to sit with a feeling without immediately trying to fix it. You want to sit with me?
