LONG TIME AGO

Long time ago when the comet fell to Earth you were a monkey-caveman scratching in the dirt. Looked at your hands and learned to count to ten, made spears from bits of rock to fight with other men. Well look at you now, you`re still scratching in the dirt. You lost your tails, and put on a shirt. Looked at the birds and taught yourself to fly, made rockets out of steel and shot them thru the sky. You waved your flag, and did it with such style, killed lots of people, and did it with a smile. You know one day I`m flying way up to the stars, hang out with my favorite alien friends in interplanetery bars. Sipping candy-coloured cocktails all night long seems like a cool thing to do. Just forget about the world I left behind and forget about you too.
