Long walk to Freedom

from Pneuma Podcast

Based Exodus 13:15-18, ‘Long walk to freedom’ invites listeners to consider the story of the Israelites journey in the light of (South African anti-apartheid champion, Mr Nelson Mandela)  as they circled the wilderness on the way to the promised land. The children of Israel were in slavery for around 430 years in Egypt until God came to their rescue. However, God wanted to guide  and teach them, not through the easy and short way  but through long and tough way so that they would learn to fight their battles in future but they failed for lack of faith in Him.As the Bible say in (Numbers 32:11-13)“even though that particular land had been promised to the Israelites beginning with Abraham, then to Isaac and to Jacob after him, the whole generation that left Egypt when they were 20 years or older would have to die, wandering aimlessly in the desert, before God would allow the community to enter that great land. Only Caleb the Kenizzite (Jephunneh’s son) and Joshua (Nun’s son) out of that generation would be allowed to enjoy settlement there because they followed Him completely.”God is not pleased when we disbelieve Him and the consequences are severe however, His mercies also abound forever and when we surrender our all to Him He is ever ready to forgive us. I pray that your walk to freedom will not be long in the Name of Jesus Christ. Shalom! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
