Longer Tables, Shorter Walls: All Nations Belong by Joshua Jalandoon #Pentecost

from City Church San Francisco · host City Church San Francisco

Joshua Jalandoon begins our Summer Sermon Series, "Longer Tables, Shorter Walls", with a sermon from Acts 2 titled "All Nations Belong".  All are welcomed, loved and affirmed (🌈) at City Church. A note about the series..."Throughout history, people have built walls to keep folks out of God’s family, but God just keeps tearing them down. The book of Acts is filled with stories of God knocking down these man-made barriers to welcome everyone in, especially those on the margins of society. This summer we will travel with the nascent band of Jesus followers as they figure out together that God is up to something more radical than they could imagine. It would inspire the Apostle Paul to write years later: “I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  When we know the barrier-breaking love of God we will be filled with that fullness as well."
