Because it’s the beginning of the year, I looked farther ahead than just the next month. It’s a look at the year and includes a combination of things, some news, some commentary, and some synthesis of factors that are out there for us to consider. And that is exactly the reason for looking ahead – so that if we don’t like what we see, we can make appropriate changes, or prepare for what may look inevitable. In addition, if we see something we like, we can put some conscious attention on that outcome and help it along. And this is why it is important to look ahead and assess what is happening, where we are going, and whether or not we need to do something different.
