We are joined by Michelle Nietert, MA for this episode of The Wonder Podcast.  Michelle has served as a professional counselor and director of Community Counseling Associates in Texas for over a decade.  She has been a professional counselor for more than 20 years.  Let us just tell you, she is a wealth of knowledge. 

Obviously, 2020 brings mental health issues to a whole new level.  1 in 4 adolescents will experience mental illness before age 18.  1 in 3 adults suffer in some way with mental illness. 

The more we talk about this and bring it to the table the better.  Michelle's biblical approach to her counseling practice is solid and full of TRUTH, as well as innovative, creative and empathetic.  

We also discuss Michelle's new devotional book, LOVED AND CHERISHED, co-authored with Lynn Cowell, Proverbs 31 Ministries author.  Geared toward girls 7-14, this book gives girls 100 devotionals to meditate on daily.  LOVED AND CHERISHED lays the groundwork for girls to know the love God has for them before entering the often tumultuous junior high years where kids often feel rejected and struggle with feelings of not being good enough that can lead to anxiety and depression.
