Many of us are starting to fear, “We’re never going back to normal!” but should we? Was what we used to call normal, before we landed in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, actually as great as we remember it? Weren’t we complaining two months ago about the very people and things that today we wish we could get back? In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church uses Exodus 14 verses 10-15 and Romans 12 verses 1-2 to teach us that, “What the world calls weird, is what God calls normal.” Breaking people out of bondage to fear, addictions, negative thought patterns, busyness or whatever, is not a new thing for God. It’s what He has been doing for people for thousands of years. God isn’t trying to “get things back to normal.” He’s calling us into a new normal. In the midst of this crisis we can see that, “Our faith finally fits.” It is clear to everyone right now that what is unseen is most significant.
