Looking on the Pierced One - An Easter Message

This Easter message centers on the profound truth that Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, was pierced for humanity's sins, as foretold in Zechariah 12:10 and fulfilled in the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. The passage reveals the Trinity in action—God the Father sovereignly pouring out the Spirit of grace and supplication, drawing people to mourn over and repent for the one they pierced, a mourning that leads to salvation. Drawing from Scripture including John, Joel, Ezekiel, and Paul, the sermon emphasizes that this mourning is not merely sorrow but a turning point of repentance and faith, both for Israel in the future and for believers today. The resurrection and promised return of Christ are presented as the ultimate fulfillment of this divine plan, where every eye will see Him, and all who pierced Him will mourn. The call is clear: look to the pierced one in faith now, receive His grace, and worship the risen Savior who offers forgiveness and eternal life.
