Looking to Jesus

from Delta Church - SPI · host Jonathan Davis

Hebrews 12:1-4. Having observed several portraits in the gallery of faith we need to see one more––that of Jesus. While all the portraits in Chapter 11 can fo gar in motivating us to persevere to the end, ultimately they are not enough. That is why the portrait of Jesus stands at the end. He is the perfect example, the One who gives the necessary help and strength we need to go on and on and on till we finish the race. So in order to stir us up to cling to Jesus, the Author picks up the imagery of an athletic race stirring us up to run the race of faith with endurance by looking to Jesus.
