The Apostle Paul suddenly went from killing people for preaching the gospel to fearlessly preaching the gospel himself in the face of death threats. The turning point was personally meeting the risen Christ. Today, on the fourth Sunday of Advent, the Sunday of love, and in preparation for the coming of Christmas we examine what Paul learned about the true identity and mission of Jesus. Who is Jesus? God come in the flesh. What was his mission? To redeem us, to bring us into mystical union with God, to transform us into his image, and ultimately to create a pure and holy people to spend eternity in paradise, loving and worshiping him forever.
