Lori Riegal, Strange

from The Odyssey Storytelling Podcast

Lori Riegal's story from the March 2016 Strange show was all about education -- both her own and her daughter's. In it, she discusses how she made the unlikely transition from depressed undergrad to award-winning graduate student, how she felt upon seeing her daughter begin the same journey, and the strange things they encountered along the way. From Lori's Odyssey bio: Lori Riegel is the Development Director for Southern Arizona at Arizona's Children Association. At the time of this story, Lori chaired the Tucson Unified School District Technology Oversight Committee and served as board chair of Youth in Philanthropy for the Southern Arizona Association of Fundraising Professionals. When she can find a little free time, she likes to rescue greyhounds, write a food blog and sleep! This episode was performed and recorded in front of a live audience at The Screening Room in Tucson, AZ, on March 3rd, 2016, and was curated by Simon Donovan.
