El pasado 9 de marzo se cumplieron 33 años desde que se selló la paz entre el gobierno de Virgilio Barco y la guerrilla del M19. Este proceso de paz fue el origen de la Asamblea Constituyente que promulgó la Constitución de 1991. El M19, después de desmovilizarse, comenzó su trabajo político en el partido Alianza Democrática M19, al que le fue muy bien en un comienzo.
