Losing Free Will

Many people believe they lack free will when it comes to the evils and belief systems that have enslaved their lives. Certain inner forces can seem to overpower choice, leaving people feeling helpless despite their desire for change. In this message titled, ‘Losing Free Will,’ Pastor Jeffrey Walter reframes captivity not as the absence of free will, but as the result of deeply trained habits operating beneath conscious awareness. This challenges the belief that man does not have free will to fight evil. Pastor Walter explains that just as this bondage is developed through repeated conscious choices, freedom can also be restored through intentional retraining—choosing righteousness, truth, and God’s Word repeatedly until a new way of living becomes natural. Through this process God inwardly saves us from the captivity of evil affections and belief systems. As you listen to this message, may you be empowered to take responsibility for your freedom and walk steadily out of spiritual captivity.
