Losing My Religion - I am not religious

When it comes to Christianity there seems to be people on 2 different sides. One side says – I’m not a religious type and the reason the world is messed up is because of yours. The other side says I am religious and the reason the world is messed up is because of your lack of it. What happens if we discover they are both arguing from the same side and Christianity is different altogether?
