Loss and Memory in "Shifters"

[REBROADCAST FROM August 26, 2026] A staging of Congolese-British writer Benedict Lombe’s play "Shifters" stars "All American" actor Daniel Ezra as Dre, a man who reconnects with his childhood friend and ex-girlfriend, Des, at his grandmother’s funeral. As Dre grieves one loss, his reunion with Des prompts him to reflect on another as the two revisit memories of their shared past. It is running at the Cherry Lane Theater through September 20.
