Loss, Resilience, and the Breakthrough That Changed My Life

from Third Chances · host Vera Czerny

This episode is different. No guest, no script - it's just me, my big WHY, opening my heart and sharing my story. It began with back surgeries that ended my exciting career and left me searching for alternative options while living in constant pain. That’s what brought me to Florida, trying to reinvent myself with limited choices. I became a personal chef — because I could stand, but not sit — and in the middle of it all, I poured myself into studying Tony Robbins, first for my own growth, and eventually stepping into coaching. But even cheffing pushed my body beyond its limits. I had to start turning clients away. Then COVID came, and like so many others, I watched my business vanish overnight. In January 2021, I lost my mom. A few months later, I lost my husband. Everything I knew about nutrition and supplements couldn't save the most important person in my life. And with that went my health, my confidence, and the very purpose of living. This isn’t just a story about loss, though. It’s about resilience. It’s about the fall, then refusing to give up on myself, even when every reason said I should. It’s about the breakthrough that helped restore my health, hope, gave me back my financial dignity, and helped me believe again that it’s never too late to start over. In this episode, I share: How multiple back surgeries set off a chain of losses and reinventions. Why I turned to both personal development and coaching as a lifeline. The heartbreak of losing my mom and husband in the same year. How sometimes it takes all you have to find the strength to get back on your feet again. The breakthrough that gave me back my health, my hope, and my reason to dream, once again. Why this isn’t just about “sales” for me — but about helping others reclaim life, health, and freedom when it matters most. If you’ve ever been told to “just accept it”… or felt like it's too late for you, that your story was already written - I recorded this for you. Because your best chapters might still be ahead.WATCH THIS EPISODE ON YOUTUBE:  https://youtu.be/I2qP9GMuQAY If you enjoyed this episode, please SUBSCRIBE to my channel so you don't miss another story like this.
