Lost & Found: The Value of Longing

Whether an expensive piece of technology, a close relationship or even a sense of security, losing something can feel as if a part of us is missing, even incomplete. It seems that God places immeasurable value on all people, indicated by the longing he has to “seek and to save the lost.” Before assuming it is bad to be lost, what if a transformational value can only be experienced when we are lost, missing, incomplete?
