Lost Highway (1997) — "I like to remember things my own way. How I remember them. Not necessarily the way they happened."
from The Kulturecast · host Weirding Way Media
Patricia Arquette August comes to a close with David Lynch's only collaboration with Patricia Arquette, a film that plunges deep into the Lynchian dreamscape: Lost Highway. Bill Pullman stars as Fred Madison, a saxophonist who may have killed his wife, Renee (Arquette), and who inexplicably transforms into a younger man, Pete Dayton (Balthazar Getty). Once changed, Fred/Pete tries to piece together what has happened to his life and who may have murdered his wife. It's a film that can only be described as Lynchian, steeped in dreams, the id, and psychogenic fugue states. We get into Jess's love of Lynch, the film's dreamscape, and how it uses Patricia Arquette. Jess Byard, screenwriter and co-host of The One Season Show, joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Lost Highway, David Lynch, Patricia Arquette, and so much more.
