Lost in the Amusement Park's Secret Tunnels | Spokane News

Get lost in the hidden tunnels beneath an amusement park with “Mad Underground,” a surreal new play where a confused young man named Alick stumbles into a wild underworld populated by a washed-up princess, a sarcastic donkey, and more. Inspired by real employee tunnels under theme parks and twisted with Alice in Wonderland vibes, it’s a deep dive into identity, especially for teens who constantly reinvent themselves — and the adults who ignore them. Minimalist staging lets your imagination run wild, while interactive elements pull you right into the action. Already shaped by actor and audience feedback, this Spokane premiere could be just the start of a nationwide tour — and the writer’s thrilled to see how local talent brings this underground adventure to life.
