Lou Henry Hoover

Lou! Very specifically named Lou, not Louise or Louisa, is our First FLOTUS to come to us from Iowa. Lou specializes in all things outdoors becoming the first female to earn a four year degree in geology. So yes, already she is a Queen. We talk about her and Hoover's world travels before Bert becomes prez and try to figure out how they had SO much money (spoiler: don't ever take an unpaid internship.) We discuss how awfully they managed the Great Depression because mostly Lou just wanted to be a motivational speaker and go on field trips.  Also, Elyse retells the entire Charles Lindbergh drama and Claire fawns over a picture of Lou riding a donkey holding a rifle.
