October 28th 2014 Riverdale, Georgia  On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, the Clayton-Henry County National Action Network Chapter (NAN) and the Friends of Clayton Transit (FCT) is hosting a press conference and rally, welcoming to Clayton County the Reverend Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network, for the 2014 Hands Up VOTE! Tour. The morning event will be one of 2 major events set for the day. Friends of Clayton Transit will kick-off the day with their Coalition Partners Press Conference at 11:00 a.m. Speakers of the day will include: Roberta Abdul-Salaam of Friends of Clayton Transit, President of NAN Clayton-Henry Chapter Reverend Jeffery Benoit and Reverend Al Sharpton-Founder and President of the National Action Network a host of others. The RISE UP CLAYTON & VOTE! is one of many partner campaigns created to ignite voters to register early with hopes to get as many votes leading up to the November 4th, 2014 Election.
