Louise Hannem

Louise Hannem was ordained in 2012. She served in pastoral ministry at several churches before moving into full-time roles with Canadian Baptist Ministries. Louise talks about her experience taking maternity leave as a pastor, and the challenges of balancing ministry and single parenting. She also describes several role models who impacted her life, including her grandmother, whom she says taught her to pray. Called to Serve is a Canadian podcast featuring the stories of women ordained by churches within the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada. Between 1950 and 2020, over one hundred women were ordained to ministry in Atlantic Baptist churches and around the world.
