Louisville Eyes SMU After Tough Loss | Louisville Football News

Louisville’s virtual football season started with a brutal 48-37 loss to Ole Miss, falling behind early by 22 and unable to overcome a high-scoring, over-1000-yard shootout. Quarterback Lincoln Kienholz dazzled with 448 yards and 3 TDs, but the run game sputtered. Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss was nearly perfect, throwing for 323 yards and 3 scores, while Kewan Lacy powered the ground game. Now, Louisville turns to SMU — a powerhouse offense led by QB Kevin Jennings and RB Kendrick Raphael, anchored by a stout line. SMU’s defense isn’t elite, but Marques White and Jimmy Wyrick provide key pressure and coverage. This matchup is Louisville’s chance to rebound — and the virtual gridiron is heating up.
