Louisville Proved They’re a Contender | Louisville Football News

Louisville football may have lost their opener, but they delivered a statement that silenced doubters. Ranked 24th against No. 9 Ole Miss, they stayed in the AP Poll — proof they’re built for big things. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit called them the real deal, even more impressive than the Rebels, and praised their grit against a Heisman contender. Coach Jeff Brohm has ignited a firestorm of confidence, and with a manageable schedule ahead, double-digit wins are within reach. They’re already third-best odds to win the ACC — and a home showdown with SMU could cement their status as a team to watch all season.
