Louisville's Battle for Munir Lewis

Louisville footballs 2027 recruiting class is gaining momentum with seven commitments, ranking as high as number five in the 247 sports team rankings. The Cardinals are targeting talent from Kentucky, Florida, and Ohio, with a key focus on three-star edge rusher Munir Lewis from Ohio. Lewis, a six-foot-four, 240-pound standout, has received nineteen offers, including from Wake Forest and Illinois. He had a standout junior year at Brush High School, with impressive statistics in tackles, sacks, and pass deflections. Lewis has a packed visit schedule, starting with Ohio State on March tenth, followed by Louisville on March twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth. Michigan State currently leads as the favorite, but Louisvilles three Ohio commits give them a strong foothold in the state. A big win like Lewis could further boost their class ranking.
