Louisville’s Playoff Hopes Rise | Louisville Football News

Greg McElroy is buzzing about Louisville football, calling them a dark horse for the College Football Playoff despite not even cracking the preseason Coaches Poll. He credits head coach Jeff Brohm — one of the most underrated coaches in the game — for building consistent nine-win seasons and masterfully navigating the Transfer Portal, bringing in four straight starting quarterbacks from the portal, including this year’s four-star recruit Lincoln Kienholz. With wins over Notre Dame and Clemson under his belt, Brohm’s system is poised for another leap. McElroy believes if Louisville can tighten up their close-game finishes, they could make serious playoff noise — and fans are already hoping for double-digit wins.
