Lourdes - a special place for Major Serena Dark

The Marian shrine at Lourdes in the south of France has played quite a part in the life of Major Serena Dark. In May 2018, Major Dark attended the International Military Pilgrimage for the third consecutive year. Each pilgrimage marked a significant event in her life. The first visit saw her then-boyfriend propose to the backdrop of the beautiful basilica. The following year the couple were married in Wales and headed straight off to Lourdes to celebrate their 'mini-moon' - a mini honeymoon. Finally, this time round, Major Dark attended with her three-month-old baby son - a miracle in every sense of the world.
