Louth Fianna Fáil TD Erin McGreehan Opens Up About Living with Endometriosis - 24/11/2025

from The Agenda

When she was 27 years old, Erin McGreehan had what she calls “an episode” at work.“I was in so much pain,” she says. “I worked. I finished my day, and then I went home and took to the bed.”The now 43-year-old Fianna Fáil TD for Louth, was working with Cavan Vocational Education Committee at the time and busily chipping away at her political ambitions. She had been a member of Fianna Fáil from a young age, canvassing for councillors on her bike at the age of 16. She had completed a degree in public and social policy, a postgraduate in law and a master’s in European economics and public affairs. On the exterior, she looked fit, healthy and fully functional. But in the background, throughout her 20s, her body had been sending her warning signs.Deputy McGreehan spoke to us this morning on The Agenda about all of this. Hosted on Acast.
