Love a Senior Day

Toula Wootan came by the show to talk about Love a Senior Day, it's an organization with a free launch event at the Fairgrounds on Oct 26. Toula Wootan talked about her friend Carol Chiarito who started it as a resource to help not only seniors but people dealing with aging parents connect to resources and help them figure things out. Dr. Bill Thomas, who is changing the way people look at aging and the concept of "nursing homes" is an advocate for green homes (there is one here, at Brooks Rehab in Bartram) where seniors live together with a communal kitchen, family room, their own bedrooms, and a live in "house mother", nurses that care for them.
