In our premiere episode, co-hosts Anna Van Valin and Colin Foy take their quest for a healthy relationship with the internet back to the beginning. The two Millennials reminisce about their earliest memories of the internet coming into their middle-schooler lives. For Anna, it was AOL message boards for “The X-Files” superfans, and Colin remembers when his dad gave his mom the most romantic gift of all: her own email address. They trace how we got from waiting all night for a Dave Matthews Band music video to download, to everything from dinner reservations to thermostats being online. In the Troubleshooting segment, they suggest how to take a thoughtful look at our current relationships with the internet, and end the episode with a couple pieces of Internet Gold.
