Love Behind Bars: Toby Dorr's Prison Escape

It's often said that love makes people do crazy things. For Toby Dorr, love led her to break the law. While operating a prison dog program, Toby met and fell in love with John Manard, a man serving a life sentence for a deadly carjacking. Feelings grew between the two, and on February 12th, 2006, Toby smuggled John out of prison. The pair was subsequently caught and arrested, but it was during Toby's prison sentence that she was able to find freedom.   Author and criminal justice reform advocate Toby Dorr revisits the story of her daring prison escape and emphasizes the importance of giving people second chances.
