We like to organize things and people in ways that make sense to us. Unfortunately, those boundaries have caused many hurts and pain in the form of ignorance and violence. Jesus has a conversation that permanently changes how we see our neighbors. Instead of asking “who’s my neighbor?” Jesus says, “to whom am I a neighbor?”SERIES: More Than Meets the EyeOne of the most important questions we need to ask ourselves on a regular basis is, “What am I not seeing?” What we don’t see is often because we never question or examine our own assumptions. We assume our way of seeing the world and reality is right–the only way–that our own compass never needs recalibrating.
