Love Jesus by Loving the Church (Acts 20:17-38)Dr. Bill Cook Serve Jesus by Serving the Church (18-21): Paul calls them to remember his ministry among them (20:18, 34, 35). Don’t Let Suffering (or disappointment) Keep You from Serving the Church (20:22-27): Paul replaces the “you know” of the previous paragraph with “I know” (20: 23, 25, 29). He turns from the past to his future sufferings. What’s a pastor to do? (20:28-35): Having looked back to his ministry in Ephesus (which they know) and on to his coming sufferings and separation from them (which he knows), Paul now gives them his final charge. Don’t forget to develop genuine friendships with those you serve (20:36-38)
