Letterboards and chalkboards around the house have been a new trend of the past few years.  They give us a chance to express ourselves with phrases, quotes, bible verses, and messages to the world.  The unique thing about them is that you have to erase one to create another.  It’s almost as if we move on from what we thought was so important the day or week before.  As we enter a new year, we seem to  want to do the same with each year.  We wipe away our past and start fresh.  While starting fresh has it’s value, we miss something if we don’t build on previous accomplishments, efforts, and even pain and failure.
