As a part of an origin practice Valentines Day has been celebrated throughout history. Formally a pagan ritual use to help with some who believed it would help with fertility in 270 AD. A priest by the name Valentine (some say 2 or more) secretly married men and women so the men could escape being inducted into the Roman war. To most it unknown the real reason to celebrate the holiday but many believe it had a lot to do with the Lupercalia tradition, however most in todays society celebrate it to show love to one another.
