Peter speaks directly to wives and encourages them to look to Christ first and reminds them of the influence they have with their husbands, even non-believing ones. I. God Focused - v. 1-2 • 2 Cor. 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? • Romans 11:36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. II. Heart Focused - v. 3-4 • Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. • Phil. 4:6-7 - 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.III. Husband Focused - v. 5-6 • Prov. 21:19 - It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman. • Proverbs 31:12 - “She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”
