Hi friends, we've embarked on a journey of love through the book of the Holy Bible. These little love notes of God's that are dotted throughout the Bible are reminders of how much He loves us and how we can love Him by loving others. I hope you enjoy the series. Today's love note from God comes from 2 Timothy 1, 7.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline. And our commentary comes from the memoir of John Bunyan. Quote, as He went out of court to be taken to prison, Bunyan said that He went, quote, with God's comfort in my poor soul, unquote. When the magistrate warned Bunyan that if He ever got out of prison and preached in that realm again, He would hang for it.
