I want to talk about the future because sometimes when we have fear, it’s oftentimes about the unknown. Before we were saved and after we were saved, we could see Christ in our lives before and after. We could see how he used our history. We could see how he was there in our timeline. If God is sovereign, then he’s in control. What are the odds that if he’s been faithful in the past he will be faithful in the future? You’ve probably heard much about fear in the past week. We’ve been bombarded by fear in the media and culture so let’s deal with this fear thing. “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? —Matthew 6: 25-27
