On this special Resurrection Sunday, we begin with two baptisms including the sharing of their faith in coming to the Lord. Christopher Staser and Jacqueline Divietro were already saved and are now being baptized as a public profession of their faith and the beginning of their Christian ministry. The name Faith Baptist Church represents the idea that it’s by faith first that we are saved and then we are baptized. How many have ever been to a cemetery where there are guards there to prevent the deceased from getting out? They placed the soldier there so the disciples don’t steal the body either. How would he have the power to do that? Jesus had already raised people from the dead—he had a history of doing that. But to make sure, we are going to guard a dead man’s body. Today we worship a risen savior, which is unique in all the world. The tomb is empty and he now sits at the right hand of God!
