Love Won!

Message Notes: Love Won! Jesus knew that everything was now finished, and to fulfill the Scriptures he said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:28-30 (NLT) 1. Love won… and GAVE us a WAY to God. For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 (NLT) I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is at the point of death. Your deeds are far from right in the sight of God. Revelation 3:1-2 (NLT) 2. Love won… when Jesus FINISHED His work of GRACE for me. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. Romans 3:24 (NLT) Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Psalms 51:7 (NLT) Text DECISION to 30500 Now may the God of peace— who raised from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and secured an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
