Besides his own songs, he performed rebetika songs of other composers. He tends to be perceived in the shadows of his prominent prolific colleagues of that time, such as Vassilis Tsitsanis, Yiannis Papaiounou, Markos Vamvakaris, and Manolis Hiotis.
