Shawn Hey U-nity, Living From the Super-consciousness "How Have We Grown In Consciousness" Do you take the time to observe how you have been practicing the things we talk about and if they have made a difference? It’s always good to notice if the way you are thinking is meeting your expectations. Unity teachings promise a way of life if the principles are followed. Twelve Step recovery promises a way of life provided that the principles are followed. Many paths for spirituality and healing promise a life of wisdom and understanding if the principles are practiced. So it’s never a matter of thinking, “See, this stuff doesn’t work.” I am absolutely certain that if we practice the principles thoroughly, life is better and we know more than we thought we knew. If things are not working out, I am also certain that we are holding out on some of the principles. Half measures offer half to none of the healing. I began my healing journey almost thirty years ago and I can always tell the difference in my willingness to wrap my consciousness around the principles of healing. It doesn’t mean that some things won’t still be hard, but they don’t need to be complicated. Complications are a reflection of my willingness to fully embrace all of the healing offered to me. Otherwise, it’s often just a matter of allowing the time necessary for the healing to take place. Stay on the right track and you will reach the desired or even better destination. Please don’t ever limit yourself by deciding that “This is the only way to think about it.” All the Best for Today, Rev.
