Low income patients not served by Mass dispensaries
from The Young Jurks · host The Young Jurks
For too long patients in Massachusetts have been priced out of medical cannabis dispensaries. Following up on our last month of podcasts we ask listeners to call in. Here are their messages. We hear from disabled and working patients in Massachusetts who offer some possible solutions as well. And a single mom that pays too much for her child’s certifications. With Sherri Tutkus, RN of GreenNurse Group, Donna Hackett, Grant Smith, Peter Bernard, Joanna Varner, Johnny Sim, Heidi Lilley, and many more. With Michael L Malta opening from 2010 showing us how little has changed since then. Expect future coverage lots more on this issue. Subscribe and rate us on iTunes! How can we have social equity when we aren’t talking about ever truly helping patients on low incomes in Massachusetts? Veterans, homeless, recovering addicts, disabled, on social security or disability, working poor many of them who are POC, LGBTQ, patients often working in poverty and in pain who can’t afford to pay a doctor to get certified every 10 months? Social equity means nothing if patients don’t get affordable medication. Nobody in power in Massachusetts is talking about this but that’s all we are hearing about from patients.
